Highlights

SOCCER

Prince George outdoor soccer facilities are second to none in the province of B.C.  The Rotary Field in Exhibition Park can be configured as 8 full size men’s fields, or combinations of sizes.  Most often the configuration includes 16 – 18 fields.  Men’s, women’s and youth soccer associations are very well established and popular.  Prince George has hosted many major national events on these fields.  Indoor soccer is also very strong in the community.  There are 2 older facilities that each house 2 indoor fields. The brand new 145,150 sq.ft. UNBC indoor sport facility also contains 2 full size indoor fields that are expected to create exciting developments in soccer in Northern British Columbia.

HOCKEY

The 6000 seat CN Centre is home to Western Hockey League(WHL) team ‘Prince George Cougars’, who are known to draw some of WHL’s largest home crowds.   High caliber Junior A hockey is delivered by the Prince George Spruce Kings. Seven ice locations exist around the city for use by many recreational teams.

Rotary Skate Park is a 19,000 sq ft state-of-the-art skate, bike and in-line park. The park is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the finest skate parks in B.C.

Two aquatic facilities, one of which is deemed to be among the best in Western Canada, support competitive swimming while providing leisure facilities with a waterslide and wave-pool for water fun.
